Pedagogical studies lead to the general teaching qualification in Finland. The application period for the studies beginning in autumn 2023 is from January 23^rd to February 10^th, 2023.

You can apply for the studies at the end of your bachelor’s degree and before beginning your master’s degree. You should have completed pedagogy 1 for your own instrument or voice, or similar pedagogy studies offered by your own department.

How to apply

1. Read more about the Teacher’s pedagogical studies in the study guide. Join the info in zoom on January 24^th at 10–11 am. Assi Karttunen, the teacher responsible for the module, talks about the pedagogical studies and answers your questions.
2. Fill in the electronic application form by February 10^th, 2023. The link opens on January 23^rd.
3. Discuss including pedagogical studies in your master’s degree with your own study programme coordinator. What are your study plans and when are you going to graduate? The discussions are held between February 13^th and March 3^rd, 2023.
4. Please note that if needed, you can apply for a continued right to study to complete your unfinished pedagogical studies after graduation.The continued right to study does not grant you the student status and benefits anymore. Read more about the residence permit.
5. If the head of your department supports your application, you will be invited to an interview with the teacher responsible for the module. The interviews are held between March 13^th and 24^th, 2023. In the interview you will discuss your goals and motivation and receive study guidance.
6. If the teacher responsible for the module approves your pedagogical studies, your study coordinator will confirm your updated individual study plan. After that you are ready to enrol to the courses of the next academic year 2023-24 in Peppi. Enrol between April 3^rd and 21^st, 2023.

Pedagogiset opinnot tuottavat yleisen opettajakelpoisuuden Suomessa. Hakuaika syksyllä 2023 alkaviin opintoihin on 23.1.–10.2.2023.

Voit hakea opinto-oikeutta kandidaattiopintojesi loppuvaiheessa ennen maisteriopintojesi alkamista ja kun olet suorittanut vähintään oman pääaineesi pedagogiikka 1-opinnot.

Näin haet opintokokonaisuuteen.

1. Tutustu opintokokonaisuuteen opinto-oppaassa. Vastuuopettaja Assi Karttunen esittelee opintoja ja vastaa kysymyksiin suomeksi ja englanniksi zoomissa tiistaina 24.1.2023 klo 10–11.
2. Hae opinto-oikeutta sähköisellä lomakkeella [linkki aukeaa 23.1.2023] 10.2.2023 mennessä.
3. Keskustele hops-ohjaajasi kanssa opintokokonaisuuden sisällyttämisestä tutkintoosi. Missä vaiheessa opintopolkuasi olet ja milloin arvioit valmistuvasi? Keskustelut järjestetään 13.2.-3.3.2023.
   Sinun on mahdollista suorittaa opintokokonaisuus loppuun maisterin tutkinnon jälkeen jatkuvan oppijan opinto-oikeudella. Huomioithan, että jatkuvan oppijan opinto-oikeudella opiskelu poikkeaa tutkinto-opiskelusta: sinulla ei ole opiskelijastatusta ja sen tuomia etuja. Lue lisää oleskelulupa-asioista.
4. Osallistu vastuuopettajan haastatteluun: Jos oma ainejohtajasi puoltaa opintokokonaisuuden opiskelua, sinut kutsutaan vastuuopettajan haastatteluun. Haastattelut järjestetään 13.–24.3.2023. Haastattelussa keskustellaan tavoitteistasi ja motivaatiostasi ja saat opintoneuvontaa.
5. Ilmoittaudu opetukseen: Jos vastuuopettaja puoltaa opintojen aloittamista, hops-ohjaajasi vahvistaa opintokokonaisuuden henkilökohtaisessa opintosuunnitelmassasi ja voit ilmoittautua lv 2023-24 opetukseen 3.-21.4.2023 Peppissä.
